The latest generation of Carrier Transicold’s ComfortPro diesel-powered auxiliary power units (APUs) will include upgrades to improve reliability, reduce maintenance and double the length of service intervals. Enhancements include:
- Automotive-style, multi-V drive belt
- Automatically adjusting tensioner help maintain full voltage output of the generator while the APU is running
- High-performance CK-4 heavy-duty engine oil, which enables maintenance intervals to extend from 1-2,000 hours
Comfort Pro diesel-powered APUs offer air conditioning, heating, cab power, engine warming, truck battery monitoring and charging, plus optional shore power connectivity. These models provide 12,000 BTUs of cooling and up to 10,000 BTUs of heating for year-round driver comfort. Carrier Transicold offers three diesel-powered options: integrated, standalone and an integrated version with a ClearSky diesel particulate filter to further reduce emissions.
