LEAWOOD, Kan., April 27, 2016 — Murphy-Hoffman Company’s (MHC) truck dealership in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, relocated to a new facility off Interstate 380 to accommodate growth, provide easier access and offer additional services to customers.
MHC acquired the Cedar Rapids dealership along with four others across Iowa, Nebraska and Illinois in 2015. Rapid growth in the region led to the relocation to a larger facility. The new 43,264-square-foot building is a few hundred feet south of the nearest rest area where truck drivers frequently stop. The facility offers 18 service bays and the latest in technology, including a service kiosk for quick truck diagnostics.
“Our goal is to enhance our services to support our customers,” Regional Vice President and General Manager Marty Dudenhoeffer said. “We simply outgrew our old home. We’ve expanded our selection and availability of all-makes truck parts and extended hours of service in the new dealership to better support truck drivers.”
The new MHC Kenworth – Cedar Rapids dealership features a wide range of amenities that include a larger driver’s lounge with a big screen TV, shower, washing machine and dryer to increase comfort for drivers. The dealership will host an open house on Thursday, May 12 for customers to tour the facility.
Located across 16 states, MHC is a network of over 100 locations, including 67 heavy and medium duty truck dealers, 36 MHC Truck Leasing locations, four Carrier Transicold locations, a TRP All-Makes Parts & Service store and a wholly-owned finance company, MHC Financial Services.
