Johnson was one of 15 honorees selected for the annual award, who were chosen by a panel of independent judges from a pool of candidates nominated by colleagues and business partners. Judges weigh nominees’ contributions to their company’s growth and financial success, their roles in corporate management and strategic planning, as well as community involvement.
Johnson has worked at MHC since 2007, and has led the charge on many company milestones, including expanding and enhancing MHC’s wholly-owned finance company, MHC Financial Services. He has also been involved with organizations such as the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired, American Heart Association and the local Leukemia & Lymphoma Society chapter. Johnson was recognized with 14 other honorees at a luncheon in Kansas City on June 30.
“We are proud to celebrate Jeff as a CFO of the Year honoree,” MHC Executive Chairman Tim Murphy said. “Jeff embodies MHC’s ‘Whatever It Takes’ philosophy with honesty, integrity and a strong work ethic, earning respect from both his employees and business partners alike. He has added sophistication to the MHC brand and supports our organization through a systemic approach that helps our business grow.”
